Karpouzanov, Momtchil

Momtchil Karpouzanov is currently adjunct assistant professor with the Business Department at AUBG and a research fellow of the Institute for Research in Economic and Fiscal Issues. He holds a PhD in Economics from Aix-Marseille Université in Aix en Provence, France. His main areas of research are political economy, monetary economics, the Currency Board regime, the history of economic thought and corruption. In addition to academic research, he has also conducted economic analysis for the UNOPS, the Ministry of the Economy and Invest Bulgaria Agency. Also, he has contributed to popularising free-market economics by translating into Bulgarian former Mont-Pèlerin Society president Pascal Salin’s book Back to Capitalism (2011). He is also a member of the Philosophy-Economics Network.
